Rebellion Overview
Effective date: 4 October 2026 · Version 1.1
Rebellion: The price of gazing upon the gods (Rebellion for short) is a co-op action roguelike set in hell: rebel sinners carve their way through demon hordes and boss halls. The game is made and distributed by APERTURESyndicate OÜ (registry code 17384111, VAT EE102972654), Priisle tee 8, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 13914, Estonia.
This page is a short map: what the game is, what works without an account, what reaches us, and where each of those is covered in detail.
We write these documents in good faith and keep them accurate to how the game actually works. They have not yet been reviewed by qualified Estonian legal counsel.
1. The game in brief
| Genre | Co-op action roguelike, first-person and third-person view |
| Platform | Windows PC, keyboard and mouse. There are no builds for other systems, phones or consoles |
| Engine | Godot 4 (C#, .NET) |
| Where to get it | Only through ASInstaller. The game is not on Steam or any other store |
| Modes | Endless run. Story mode is closed for now and marked "Soon" |
| Playing together | A squad of friends through our relay. The game is designed for 1–4 players; today a squad is two people, and network play is being switched on in stages |
| Price | Free. Paid cosmetic items — looks and effects with no effect on strength — may come later |
| Age | We recommend 16+ — see Content & Age Rating |
Rebellion is in active development. Content, balance and features change from update to update; what that means for your saves is in Saves, Progress & Support.

2. What works without an account, and what needs one
Without an account the whole single-player game works: the run, your village, the bestiary, settings, and music from your own folder. All of it is stored on your computer.
An APERTURESyndicate account is needed for three things:
- inviting a friend to your squad and accepting an invitation;
- playing online through our relay;
- listening to your Resonance playlists in the game.
Sign-in goes through your system browser: the game opens the APERTURESyndicate sign-in page, you sign in there, and the game receives a token. The game never sees or stores your password. You and your squad are shown by your nickname and avatar; the game does not receive your internal account identifier (the handle) and never shows it, and it is not given your email address.
3. What stays with you, and what reaches us
In detail: the Rebellion Privacy Notice. In short:
- on your computer — saves, your village, settings, the music cache, game logs and an encrypted sign-in token;
- with us — only what online play cannot work without: sign-in, invitations and squads in your APERTURESyndicate profile, an "in game" mark for your friends, and the relay's service log. The relay does not store the contents of a network game;
- with your squad — your nickname, avatar and everything you do in the shared world; the host's guests receive the host's whole world.
The game has no telemetry, analytics, advertising or automatic crash reporting.

5. How these documents relate to the rest
The Rebellion documents are product documents, like the ASInstaller Terms or the Resonance Terms of Service. They apply together with the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy and sit below them: they can add detail or make a rule stricter, never weaker. Where they conflict, the platform-level document controls (Section 3 of the Terms of Service).
Acceptance. An APERTURESyndicate account is one agreement covering every product; there is no separate signature for each document. Installing and running Rebellion without an account means accepting the End User Licence Agreement.
Changes. We give at least 30 days' notice of a material change to these documents, as Section 17 of the Terms of Service requires. The English version is the controlling version; translations are provided for convenience.
