Apeiron Overview
Effective date: 9 October 2026 · Version 1.0
Apeiron is the launcher, store and installer of the APERTURESyndicate ecosystem for Windows. It is made and operated by APERTURESyndicate OÜ (registry code 17384111, VAT EE102972654), Priisle tee 8, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 13914, Estonia. It replaces ASInstaller, which it takes over from — see Moving from ASInstaller.
This page is a short map: what the program does, what it needs, what leaves your computer, and which document covers each part.
We write these documents in good faith and keep them accurate to how the software actually works. They have not yet been reviewed by qualified Estonian legal counsel.
1. What Apeiron does
| It does | In practice |
|---|---|
| Store | Shows the games and applications we publish — Rebellion, Resonance, ASAI, Minidi — with descriptions, screenshots and ratings. |
| Installer | Installs, updates, repairs and removes them from signed releases — Installing & Updating. |
| Library | Lists what you already have on your computer — Steam, Epic and GOG games and programs you add — and starts any of it. |
| Friends | Shows which friends are online and what they play, sends and receives game invitations — Friends, Invites & Presence. |
| Overlay and clips | A panel on top of a running game (Shift+Tab) and a replay buffer that saves the last seconds of play on a hotkey — Overlay & Clips. |
| Reviews | Star ratings and written reviews of what is in the store — Reviews & Ratings. |
| Achievements, DLC and mods | Shown on a product's page when the product supports them. |
It is free. Nothing in it is required to use our services: every application it installs can be obtained and installed without it.
2. What it needs
- Windows 10 (version 1809) or newer, 64-bit. There is no macOS or Linux build. It uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime, which Windows 11 and an up-to-date Windows 10 already include.
- No administrator rights. Apeiron installs into your own user profile.
- An internet connection to use the store, install and update. The library and launching work offline.
3. What works without an account
Signed out, you can browse the store, build the library, launch things and use the overlay and clips. You need a APERTURESyndicate account to: use friends and invitations, post ratings and reviews, install products that require an account, and have the game receive your sign-in from the launcher. Signing in happens in your browser — Apeiron never sees your password.
4. What stays on your computer and what reaches us
In short — the full list is in the Privacy Notice:
- Stays on your computer: your library, what you launch, play time, artwork, clips and settings. Apeiron has no usage telemetry and does not upload the list of what is installed on your computer.
- Reaches us: store and update files you download (ordinary web requests); if you are signed in — your friends and invitations, what you are doing in the launcher (online, or the game you play unless you switch that off), and the ratings you post.
- Reaches Steam (only the game name, and you can switch it off): artwork lookup for games that are not from Steam.
5. How the documents fit together
