Reviews & Ratings

Reviews & Ratings

Effective date: 9 October 2026 · Version 1.0

Every game and application in the Apeiron store has a rating of one to five stars and room for a written review. This page says who can write them, what is shown, and what we do with abuse. It applies together with the Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms of Service.

We write these documents in good faith and keep them accurate to how the software actually works. They have not yet been reviewed by qualified Estonian legal counsel.

1. How it works

  • Anyone can read ratings and reviews, signed in or not.
  • A APERTURESyndicate account is needed to post. You give a product one rating, and may add a text of up to 2,000 characters. Posting again replaces your earlier rating; you can delete it at any time.
  • The average, the number of ratings and the spread by stars are shown on the product page and on store cards. Ratings without text count in the average but do not appear in the list.
  • Reviews are shown under your nickname and avatar — never your internal handle or email. They are public and can be found by anyone who opens the page.

2. What to write

Write about the product: what you liked, what did not work, what you would change. A review is your own opinion and your own experience.

Not allowed (see the Acceptable Use Policy):

  • insults, harassment, hate, threats, or attacks on a person instead of a product;
  • other people's personal data — names, addresses, accounts, private messages;
  • advertising, links to other products, spam, repeated copy-and-paste;
  • reviews you were paid or pressed to write, or written by the product's makers without saying so; rating a product to damage a competitor;
  • illegal content, or content that infringes someone's rights;
  • spoilers presented as a plot summary without warning, where the product's page says it is story-driven.

3. Moderation

We do not read every review in advance. We act on reports and on signals of abuse: we may hide or remove a review that breaks these rules, and, for repeated or serious abuse, restrict your ability to post under the Terms of Service. Report a review to [email protected] with the product and your nickname; for illegal content use DSA Notice & Action. You can appeal under the process described in the Terms of Service.

We never remove a review because it is critical — only because it breaks a rule.

4. Your data

A review is personal data (it is tied to your account). It is deleted when you delete it, and with your account — see Deleting Your Account & Data; it is included in your data export. Details are in the Privacy Notice.

5. Your content

You keep the rights to what you write. You give us a non-exclusive, free licence to show it in the store and in Apeiron for as long as it is posted, and to show it to the product's makers. That is all we do with it.
