Creator Program
This document describes how publishing works on ASAI: who can publish characters and worlds to the public library, what the obligations are, and what happens if they are broken.

1. What this is
Publishing lets other ASAI users find and chat with characters and worlds you have built. Your name appears on them; your library page collects them.
That is the whole of it. There is no rewards tier, no earnings, and no ranking to climb.
2. What you need to publish
2.1 A paid plan
Publishing requires an active Pro or Etherane subscription. See Product Terms for what those cost and include.
The subscription is what pays for hosting published content and for the work of handling reports about it. On the Free plan, characters and worlds stay private.
2.2 A verified email address
Standard for any account.
2.3 To be at least 16
Which is the minimum age for an ASAI account at all. See Age & Eligibility.
2.4 Nothing else
No identity verification. No portfolio review. No application, no waiting list, and no approval step. If your plan allows publishing, you publish.
3. Publishing, editing, unpublishing
Publishing is immediate — the character appears in the library straight away, with no review beforehand. See Publication & Review for exactly what does and does not happen at that moment.
Editing a published character takes effect immediately as well. There is no re-review.
Unpublishing is a single action and takes effect at once. The character reverts to a private draft in your account. Existing chats keep working; new users can no longer find it.
Published characters carry a usage count so you can see how often yours are being used. There is no star rating, no ranking algorithm, and no leaderboard.
4. What does not exist
An earlier version of this document described a rewards and ratings system in considerable detail. It was aspirational and should never have been published as fact. To be explicit:
- There are no Creator Credits. No compute is credited to you for publishing, no formula, no daily cap. There is no ledger, no balance, and nothing to spend.
- There are no 1–5 star ratings, no Bayesian aggregation, no minimum-ratings threshold, and no confidence indicators.
- There is no identity verification for creators. No third-party verification service is connected to ASAI.
- There is no creator analytics dashboard. You can see how many times your characters have been used; nothing beyond that.
- There are no monetary payouts, and none are planned.
If any of this is ever built, it will be described here once it works, with its own terms — not before.
5. What you are agreeing to when you publish
5.1 The content rules apply
Everything in the Content Policy and the Community Guidelines applies to published characters and worlds. Publishing something that breaks them is a breach whether or not anything stopped you at the time — nothing checks at publication.
5.2 You are responsible for the rights
You confirm that you have the right to use the images, text, and other material in what you publish. See IP Policy.
5.3 We can unpublish it
Where content is reported and found to breach the rules, or where a rightsholder or authority requires it, we can unpublish or delete it. You will be told which rule was involved and what we did — Article 17 of the EU Digital Services Act.
5.4 You license us to host and display it
Publishing grants us the licence needed to store, display, and serve your content to other users for as long as it is published. It is non-exclusive, it does not transfer ownership, and it ends when you unpublish. See the Terms of Service.
6. Conduct rules for creators
- Don't publish characters that target real ASAI users — parodying, mocking, or harassing a specific person is not creative work.
- Don't republish someone else's published character as your own.
- Don't use misleading tags or descriptions to attract traffic to something else.
- Don't design characters that manufacture dependency — love-bombing, isolation patterns, "you can't leave me" mechanics. This is prohibited by the Content Policy and it is the one we care about most.
- Don't write instructions into a character intended to push the model past the content rules.
Breaches are handled under the enforcement ladder in the Acceptable Use Policy, Section 9: warning, content removal, loss of publishing rights, suspension, termination.
7. Tax
Publishing on ASAI generates no income, no credits, and no thing of value. There is nothing to declare, and we issue no tax documentation because no money moves.
If that ever changes, it will be a separate programme with its own terms.
8. Ending your participation
By you: unpublish your characters, or cancel your subscription. Cancelling ends publishing rights at the end of the paid period; published content becomes private again. Nothing is deleted.
By us: we can withdraw publishing rights for breach of the rules, or discontinue public publishing entirely on 30 days' notice. Publishing is a product feature, not a contractual entitlement.
9. If you think we got it wrong
Write to [email protected] and explain why. A human reads it and can reverse the decision. As a micro enterprise we are exempt under Article 19 of the EU Digital Services Act from operating a formal internal complaint-handling system, so we are not promising a review board or a deadline — but the mail is read, and decisions do get reversed. Your right to go to a court or a competent authority is unaffected.

Material changes are announced by email, by in-product notice, and through the date and version history on this page.
